Doing a bit better after finding out the orphans in Gambia I've sending money for food and medicine were scammers.

I lost not only a good chunk of my yearly income, which I needed badly to replace my car (I had a bad accident back in March, which pretty much totaled my car, but after some DIY repair has been drivable, albeit extremely unsafe and less reliable than before) but time and energy that I wanted to use for my own projects.

I had to really rethink things in the past month, mainly about how generous I am and what I get in return.

I figured out that I've been too kind for my own good. I do more for others than myself, to the point where I almost completely neglect myself.

Time, money and energy that I would've used to do things for myself once the bills were paid, went to people that hardly even acknowledge how much I go out of my way for them, and then have the gall to ask me for more.

And in the end, I have nothing. I've now been on both sides. I used to be The Selfish, Inconsiderate Douchebag, then I ended up swinging the other way later on and became The Stupid Sucker.

I still want to be kind and generous, but I don't want to be a sucker anymore. I still have a lot of work to do in regards to taking better care of myself, in all areas, but I've been more strict about how much I give to others and not feel guilty or feel like I HAVE to do it, cause I don't, especially when kindness hasn't been extended to me or I simply can't afford to.

I've also been preparing to move at the end of the year and am still looking for a replacement vehicle before that time.

'Sounds of Dreamworld' Album is nearly complete and should be getting a release before or around the same time I release 'Sean McRae's Dreamworld Part 1: Ep1' Visual Novel, which will contain songs from the album as the OST.

'Afternoon Dream' and 'Downtown Dreamworld' will be on the album as well (You can listen to those here if you haven't heard them already)

I'm putting together a Guitar EP called 'Dances for Guitar' as well, with 5 original songs (I may share a couple here)

I don't have a date for this one, but I could probably release it before the year end. Not a huge project by any means, but I've got my hands full.

Art

October 1st, I am closing commissions to focus on the Visual Novel. I have one slot open, but I also have a special for a new style I'm trying out. A 1000x1000 pixel illustration that almost has a "point-and-click" quality to it.

I have 3 slots open for this and will be closing them by October 8th. send me a message if you're interested.

Speaking of the Visual Novel, I have given myself somewhat of a harsh goal. I want to have a demo out by my 24th birthday (February 18, 2024). If I do not accomplish this, then I will stop doing Art. Period.

The reason why I have such a harsh stipulation is because I feel that it is My God-given purpose to make this story, and therefore something I should be completely serious about. I have the story, characters and everything for this story all in my head, I just need to put it in a medium.

Of course, I could keep it to myself for my own enjoyment, but I would rather share it with you.

And If I'm going to do this right, then I need to be serious about it.

I considered going back on this goal, but that would defeat the purpose of it.

I need to feel some significant pressure in order to accomplish this. Basically Do-or-Die.

Self accountability is only one part of it though, so I'd appreciate your support as well.

My commissions are open because the gas is too damn high and I'm a poor mf!

Due to the sanctions over the Russia-Ukraine Conflict, US Gas prices have reached historic highs.

I happen to live in California, where Gasoline prices are currently around $5 to $7 per Gallon and rising.

My Honda Civic (which I've been driving everyday until a couple weeks ago) has a transmission issue and a shattered rear windshield which needs to be replaced. I'm low on money and don't have reliable income.

I have another car that I'm using to get around and do my business, but it drinks a lot of fuel and needs Premium/Super, so I need to get my Civic repaired ASAP.
